Create a ZIP file from a folder⚓

Description⚓

As a GIS dataset, is composed of several individual files, it is advised to to gather them in a unique ZIP file. The ZIP process will compress the files. This ZIP file may be easily sent or share.

AttentionPre-requesites⚓

All the files contained in the future ZIP file should be closed (ex : QGIS, Excel, PDF). Otherwise, Windows won't be able to access and compress these files.

How to ?⚓

In windows 11

  1. Right-click on the folder to compress

  2. Select Compresser vers

  3. Select Fichier ZIP

Expected result⚓

You should obtain a ZIP file.
